WHO WE ARE
Grace Elderly Care International (GECI) provides elderly care in Ethiopia for vulnerable seniors who have no family, no income, and no safety net.
Since 2021, we have supported over 100 elderly individuals through monthly food support, home repairs, emergency shelter, and community-based care.
THE CRISIS WE’RE SOLVING
Across Ethiopia, thousands of elderly people suffer from malnutrition, homelessness, and extreme poverty. Many are forced to beg for survival or go days without food. With no family support and little to no government assistance, they are among the country’s most forgotten people.
These are grandparents who spent decades building their communities and caring for others. They deserve dignity, security, and compassion in their final years.
This is why elderly care in Ethiopia is urgently needed.
HOW WE HELP
GECI serves Ethiopia’s most vulnerable elders through four integrated programs:
MONTHLY CASH ALLOWANCES
$20/month provides food for a full month while preserving dignity and independence.
HOME REPAIRS
Partner with local volunteers to repair uninhabitable homes, creating safe and dignified living conditions for vulnerable seniors.
TEMPORARY SHELTER
Provide emergency housing for homeless elders.
VOLUNTEER MOBILIZATION
Organize and support local Ethiopian volunteers who provide ongoing assistance, companionship, and community connection.
