Poor nutritional status and malnutrition in the elderly population are serious concerns. Malnutrition leads to progressive health declines, reduced physical and cognitive function, and increased mortality rates.
In Ethiopia, malnutrition among older adults is alarmingly high. Many elderly individuals are homeless, live in uninhabitable conditions, or are forced to scavenge for survival. Some resort to pleading for food by going door-to-door.
At Grace Elderly Care International, Inc., our programs are dedicated to improving the well-being of malnourished older adults in Ethiopia, offering them care, dignity, and hope.
